비빔밥 or ‘Bibimbap’ literally just means ‘mixed meal’ or ‘mixed rice’.
Jeonju Bibimbap (pictured) being particularly famous throughout Korea, is listed at number 40 on World’s 50 most delicious foods. It is known as the ‘royal court’ dish in the Joseon dynasty.
Jeonju bibimbap is known for its sophisticated mixture of ingredients such as bean sprouts, hot pepper, nuts, courgettes, mushrooms, minced beef etc….
…it is particularly hot…ooo *down some water*
What i am REALLY curious about is how did the Koreans mix 10-15 ingredients in the first place, and know it will taste amazing?
Surely not from trial and error?
